is an Enterprise Class 1U Rackmount Server that provides outstanding
performance utilizing AMD 64Bit Opteron single
and dual core Processors for High Performance Computing (HPC) demands.
The Server supports either a Single or Dual configuration in Single
or Dual-Core.
The 1164
is the ideal candidate where High-Performance Computing is required
with the additional requirement of Data-Redundancy. Ideally suited as
back-end Servers running MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle Database engines.
The 1164
supports Open Source Operating Systems such as FreeBSD-AMD/64 and 32Bit,
Linux Red Hat Enterprise 3 & 4 (32Bit and 64Bit), SuSE Linux SLES
8 and 9 (32Bit and 64Bit) as well as proprietary systems such as Windows
2003 Server.
The Chassis and Server Board provides high availability with Hot-Pluggable
Fans, Ultra320 SCSI Drives and, PCI Slots
