This server offers very high available features such
as, redundant hot-swappable cooling fans and hot-pluggable power supplies.
The ProServ 2680 also can be configured with
memory mirroring and sparing.
There is a direct connection between the hard drives
and Server Board removing the need for hard drive cables. You can configure
this 2U Server with Serial ATA and/or Serial Attached SCSI to best suit
your requirements. We recommend the 18E PCI-E x8 RAID Controller with
its own memory and 72-hour backup battery module for superior RAID
Freedom Technologies 2680 2U Rackmount Server is an excellent
candidate as a Contact Management Server , Database Server , Network
Security and Intrusion Detection Server , Web Server Intranet Server
, Internet Server , Mail Server and Application Server for ASP's.
The Server Management built into the Server Board (Baseboard
Management Controller) provides you with instant remote hardware status,
power cycling and, hardware logs. The included Server Management Software
included must be installed on the Server that has either Red Hat, SuSE
Linux or Microsoft Windows installed.
Other Open Source OS's such as FreeBSD 6.x (i386 or AMD/64),
CentOS, Fedora Core, Gentoo and other Linux Distributions can take advantage
of freely available ipmitool or freeipmi.
Ultimately, you have full out-of-band Server Management control regardless
of where you or the Server is located and whether the Server is powered
on or powered off via the Internet.
